Christmas Shopping

Well I am happy to say that I have finally finished my Christmas shopping. Our internet service has been all screwed up over the island, so I was panicing earlier this morning when I realized that I couldn't order any of Danielle's toys online. I really didn't want to go to the mall this weekend, because it would have been packed. Thank goodness that it came back on and I was able to order all of her toys. Shopping in the 21st century is a great and easy thing. See it online and buy it with no long lines, rude sales people, or hectic parking lots. In a way it has spoiled me to the point that I don't want to leave my house to go shopping. I would rather shop while I have no makeup on and am in my pajamas.

My Life

Okay, so I was curious about this whole blog thing and decided to try it. Hmmm.....where to start. Let's go back.....way back. I am originally from Thomaston, Georgia (Shit Hole Place) in the middle of no where. I moved with my parents and all my brothers and sisters to Puerto Rico in 1999. We have been here ever since. I must say that the weather is nice most of the time, but I really miss cold weather and I would love to have a white Christmas. I had my beautiful daughter on October 28, 2003 at 8:55 am. Her father is not in the picture, but that is all I will say about that now.....I'm sure you will hear about him later, but right now I am in a good mood and don't want to elaborate. Danielle just turned 3 and boy is she a handful. She is great though. Very smart and ahead of most kids her age. She can count to 50 in English and to 20 in Spanish, she knows her ABC's and has known them for about a year now. Did I mention that she speaks a lot of Spanish. Sometimes she says things and I don't even understand; I have to call to my sister who is also fluent. Anyway, she loves animals more than anything, and is always talking about the ones most kids don't even know exist like the puma, scarlet macaw and coqui frog. We have recently decided that it is time to get the hell out of Puerto Rico. Thank God. I have been wanting to leave for so long that now I don't want to wait. We are planning on leaving between May and August of 2007. Colorado here we come. Finally snow. Although I don't know how we will handle it because when it hits 70 degrees we get cold and wear jackets. We are all so excited. I am so happy for Danielle because she has never seen snow before and I know that she will just light up. I guess that is it for now, but I will try to post often.
